Raj Bahadur Shah is the Managing Director of the Jawalakhel Group of Industries which is a Business Conglomerate managing multiple companies that manufacture and distribute alcoholic beverages. JGI is a group that strives on innovation and creating new benchmarks of excellence to manufacture brands that resonate with the evolving drinking culture across generations.

He joined the business in 2000 and has since led JGI to become the undisputed leader in the alco-bev industry and one of the fastest growing companies in Nepal.

The Shah Family is one of the largest tax paying Nepalese families and contributes significantly in CSR activities for COVID-19. With over 350% increase in share price of Himalayan Distillery Ltd. (former sister company of JGI) in the past 18 months, it is one of the fastest growing companies in Nepal Stock Exchange.

He is also the newly elected Vice President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and was the Past President of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Nepal and Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Nepal. He holds a degree in Science from the University of Massachusetts, USA, and his personal interests include vintage cars, animals, science fiction and TikTok.
