At AmCham Nepal ,we believe that learning leads to leadership. Our 17th Learning Series marked yet another milestone in that journey — this time in collaboration with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.

In an insightful session, DFC oriented our members on impactful funding mechanisms and opportunities to support Nepal’s growing private sector. The session became a meaningful space to dive into the broader picture of U.S.-Nepal economic cooperation and what it takes to move from aid to trade.

Our members shared real-life success stories of U.S. investment transforming business operations in Nepal. The dialogue extended beyond capital — we tackled critical issues like:

🔹 Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA)

🔹 Taxation and Predictable Policy Reforms

🔹 Procurement and Capital Gains Policies

🔹 Transfer Pricing and FDI Incentives

But perhaps what inspired us most was the shared commitment to building a Brand Nepal — one of possibility, innovation, and resilience.

Together, we explored how trade and investment can uplift youth, curb brain drain, and create jobs and opportunities here at home.

AmCham members are proud to be a community of changemakers, choosing optimism over obstacles — working to make Nepal a thriving hub for trade and investment.

Thank you to the DFC team for joining us in this thoughtful, future-focused exchange. Together, we’re building confidence through commerce and we can bring prosperity both ways with economic transformation.
